Flow indicators

What is the flow indicator?

The purpose of flow indicators, i.e. the pipeline sight glasses, is to visually show whether an intermediate fluid is flowing in the pipeline or not. To facilitate observation, a rotating flow indicator can be added to the sight glass used in liquid applications.

When using the device in a steam pipe to indicate a possible water column in the system, the indicator should be installed before the condensate drain. This allows any potentially leaking condensate drain to be detected via the flow indicator.
