What is a rubber lined butterfly valve?
Rubber-lined butterfly valves are suitable as shut-off valves in both large and small low-pressure water pipelines. They are lightweight, easy to install, user-friendly, and tight.
The installation options include a wafer type (installed between flanges), flanged, or the so-called end flange model (lug type) equipped with threaded ears.
Selection of a rubber lined butterfly valve
We assist in the selection and sizing of the butterfly valve according to the application requirements.
Typical media include process cooling water, seawater, dirty water, clean water, and fresh water. A suitable material combination is available for each medium application. Typically, the valve body is made of cast or ductile iron with graphite, and the body lining is selected based on the medium. We stock valves lined with EPDM and NBR.
Valves can be equipped with pneumatic or electric actuators. They can also be installed underground and operated remotely from the surface using an extension arm.
Large butterfly valves must be installed in the pipeline so that the valve handle is horizontal.
